Welcome to Whitesand Acres. We reside on 70 acres of land along the Whitesand River two miles east of Canora, Saskatchewan on highway #5.
In 1992 we began raising registered Black Angus cattle. We have sold our breeding stock though test stations, consignment sales, and by private treaty. We are very proud to have some of our females find homes in prominent Angus herds in Saskatchewan. We have shown successfully at Agribition. Our mission is to raise sound functional catle with moderate frame, calving ease and great dispositions. We switched to April calving in 2007.
In the fall of 2000 we began our love affair with Miniature horses. We began showing in 2001 and have shown throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan ever since.
We are concentrating on breeding quality stock as well as developing horses to drive single and double as well. We hope to have a four horse hitch running this summer as well. We participate in as many parades as possible in the summer as well as visiting nursing homes and other community functions. Our horses belong to the AMHA and AMHR registry's and most are double registered.
Tom retired from the grain industry in the fall of 2007 to dedicate more time to the cattle and helping Bet with the horses. Feel free to visit us anytime. The coffee pot is always on. We just love to talk cattle and horses.
